Description
Up for auction/sale is a stoneware coffee mug which features the new "Swoosh/Wedge" logo on locomotive 7701 (see high-resolution photos). I can't date this specifically, but per the research found below, I believe this must date to circa 2005 when the new logo chosen was taken from engine 7701.Rather you collect BNSF or are interested in railroad memorabilia in general, this is a great mug with excellent presentation.
The mug is in excellent "like new" condition and shows very little (if any) signs of wear or usage, with no chips, cracks, or damage of any sort. The mug stands roughly 4 3/8" tall, has a 3" rim, is 5" wide at the handle, has a 3 7/8" base, and holds a full 20oz of your favorite beverage when filled to the brim.
I have described this mug as best I can, but to augment my description I have provided many high-resolution images of the mug from varying angles to allow for a detailed review of quality, condition, and desirability. I have also included a "For Reference Only" photo of the 7701 with the new logo…
This will be packaged with care to best ensure this BNSF stoneware mug arrives as pictured and described.

A little about the new BNSF "Swoosh/Wedge" logo and the 7701:
On January 24, 2005, as part of its tenth anniversary celebration, the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway was renamed BNSF Railway, which adopted a new logo. By March, the logo had been applied to the sides and fronts of six ES44DCs, which were otherwise painted in the "Heritage II" scheme, except with black replacing dark green. Slight differences were present on the six locomotives, and on April 11 BNSF officially chose the design it had applied to No. 7701. The "New Image" scheme is also referred to as "Heritage III", the "Nike Swoosh" scheme or simply the "Swoosh" scheme. Some railfans also refer to the logo as "The Wedge" scheme.
