RARE Vintage JVC CX-R7K R7 AM FM Stereo Cassette Player & Recorder "Walkman"

This listing is for a RARE, vintage JVC CX-R7K portable cassette player/recorder with stereo AM/FM radio. Some listings just have the model as CX-R7. This unit is a "Walkman" style cassette player, as it is small and portable. That said, this JVC unit is a high end stereo device with the following features: cassette player and recorder with auto-reverse; AM FM stereo radio; Dolby sound; Full Logic; and a DC in jack so that you can use rechargeable batteries.
So this was one of my storage unit finds, so here's what I can tell you about it. The unit powers on and the radio works. Overall, the unit is in above average cosmetic condition for its age, but does show signs of usage/wear, specifically it has a few superficial scratches/scuffs on the back side of the player. There are also a few "dings" along some of the edges and corners (I tried to show the most obvious or visible ones in the pictures). Overall though, I personally think it looks pretty good. I should note that there are likely some very small scratches/scuffs/dings that may not show up in the pics. As for the cassette player/recorder, it will probably need some level of repair. I'm not an expert here, but here's what I can say. With no cassette in the unit one of the spindles (I think that's what they're called) turns when I play it in one direction but not the other. With a tape in, I can hear the motors working, but the tape doesn't run in either direction. If I had to guess, I think the drive belt is probably loose or slipping. I looked at a few videos on YouTube, and the repairs look relatively simple, but it's just my opinion and I'm not implying I know exactly what's wrong or what it will take to be repaired. That said, I do think that if someone knows what they're doing they can probably figure it out and get it working.
Just a note on my asking price. These are very rare. At the time of this listing there was only one that had sold recently, and there was only one currently for sale. The sold listing was for parts only because the batteries were still inside and were leaking and the inside of the unit was corroded. That unit SOLD for approx 0 including shipping. The unit currently for sale is overseas, but is a refurbished unit and is listed as fully functional. That item is listed at approx. 0 with shipping.

Shipping:
I pride myself on fast, safe, and accurate shipping. Your item(s) will ship within one (1) business day after your payment is received. Items selected for USPS Shipping are taken directly to the local USPS post office for shipping. Items selected for UPS Shipping are taken directly to the local UPS Drop Off Location for shipping. Occasionally, a small, lower value, and non-fragile item can be mailed in a plain letter sized envelope with just a regular postage stamp, without an eBay shipping label. In these situations, I will notify you when the item has been dropped off at the Post Office.

Purchases made on weekends (Friday after 3 PM to 8 AM Monday) will be taken to the Post Office on Monday.
I do not leave items in the Postal Drop Box outside the Post Office. This will help insure that the item will not get lost/damaged and will ship out on time.
