SAE 5000A Impulse Noise Reduction System. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
If you have a sizeable collection of LPs/33RPM, 45RPM vinyl or even 78RPM shellac records, you will appreciate the action of the SAE 5000.  You simply connect the SAE 5000 into the tape monitor loop of your receiver or amplifier.  The rear of the unit contains a replacement set of tape monitor jacks so that you can connect a tape deck or digital recording deck to it instead of to the receiver or amplifier.
Simply switch your receiver or amplifier to the tape monitor and play your record on the turntable.  The SAE 5000 receives the audio signal and removes the "ticks & pops" out of the signal in real-time (on the fly) as you listen.  You can vary the strength of this processing by adjusting the "sensitivity" slider (toward the right for more aggressive processing). If you find this task difficult the "invert" switch allows you to listen to the noise being removed instead of the music.  The "sensitivity" slider is then adjusted to the point right before you begin to hear fragments of the music.  Afterwards, you press the "invert" button again to resume normal listening.  If for any reason, you don't want to use the unit for processing, you simply press "bypass".  The "monitor" button is simply used as a replacement for the tape monitor that is being occupied by the one used by the SAE 5000 on your receiver or amplifier.  Of course, the combination of switches allow you to pass a processed or unprocessed signal onto your tape deck for recording.
